Dave Nevison - A Bloody Good Winner!
I bought A Bloody Good Winner! hoping I would come away with some professional system which Dave uses but was disappointed on that front. Which was naive on my part but what I did find was that I was unable to put the book down until I read it from cover to cover! Nevison basically explains you should only bet when the odds on offer are higher than those of your own.
It's a great read and insight to the story of a professional gambler, Nevison is very open and honest about his life as a professional gambler and some of the stories had me in stitches! Its a great autobiography and well worth a read but dont get your hopes up that you can turn pro after reading this!! Any gambler or horse racing should read this book as its great entertainment which will make you laugh and smile all the way through.

Trading in the Zone by Mark Douglas
This book is designed for trading on the stock market but the theories can be applied to any kind of trading or betting. I bought this book after hearing rave reviews about it and I wasn’t disappointed, at the time of purchase I was going through a particular rough patch with my betting. I was chasing losses, over staking and generally betting on anything I could to make some money and the end result was a loss after loss after loss.
Trading in the Zone focuses on how the human mind reacts to certain situations and this is very important when betting. It made me realize not to get carried away when winning and vice versa when losing – you need to believe in your methods and ability to make consistent profits and ACCEPT THE RISK! This is a book I often refer to just remind myself that making money from the Betfair markets is 20% knowledge and 80% mind control, it’s a great read and this would be the first book I would recommend to those having trouble trying to make consistent profits from betting/trading.

Best Live Score Website?
I have been using lots of different ways of tracking livescores for football matches, the main websites include Livescore.com, Xscore.com and Flashscore.com. The best website that is head and shoulders above the rest is Flashscore, the interface is easy on the eye and very user friendly. I had been using livescore.com for years and hadn't even thought about switching until there was a few glitches with updating the scores, we have all been there pushing the refresh manically in the last few mins! Seeing a goal scored for the home team and then all of a sudden next refresh and its back to 0-0!
With flashscore you can setup which games you want to monitor and add them to your games list, then when a goal is scored in one of your selected games you hear the crowd noise that a goal is been scored! So you can surf the web whilst not being glued to the livescores waiting for some action. Also you hear a whistle when the game is finished but be warned the sound effects are quite loud and I have jumped on many occasion when a goal is scored or 90 mins is up!!

Betting Exchanges - BETFAIR
The first review is for Betfair, the most recognized betting exchange out there. Since its inception in June 2000 Betfair has grown to become the biggest online betting exhange and claim there odds are on average 15% better than the high street bookmaker. This is true in theory but when backing favourites the price is almost identical to the high street bookmaker, its when backing an outsider true value is on betfair.
Beware that Betfair take 5% commission on all winning bets (this is factored in when winnings are calculated on your choosen market). For those of you not familiar with betting exchanges they allow you to be the bookmaker and LAY bets, i.e. you dont fancy the favourite in the next at Lingfield - you can lay (take bets) on the favourite and if it gets beat you win! Simple.
Betfair's vast array of markets is quite mindblowing as well, they have markets that range from Indian Football to Bandy (I have no idea what bandy is, but you can bet on it!). Its great for inplay betting as well, almost every top flight football match in Europe goes in play and is a dream for traders. I have been using Betfair for years now and love the platform and interface, its where I place most if not all of my bets.
I would thoroughly recommend any who hasnt got an account to sign up today and take advantage of the £25 free bet (see betfair button on left sidebar).
